Aim: To encourage and recognize excellent high-quality family medicine research presented at the Wonca World Conference 2010.

Details of Award

The Wonca World Conference 2010 Distinction Award will be given to presenters whose poster or oral papers meet the high standards of a panel of distinguished family medicine researchers and experts based on objective judging criteria. There is no limit to the number of Wonca World Conference 2010 Merit Awards but only papers of high standard will be considered for the award. There will be two categories for the award:

• Wonca World Conference 2010 Merit Award (Oral Presentation)
• Wonca World Conference 2010 Merit Award (Poster Presentation)

Poster judging will commence on the first day of the conference and those which receive the Wonca World Conference 2010 Merit Award (Poster Presentation) will be highlighted with a special sign for the rest of the conference. Judging of oral papers will be done for all presentations and Wonca World Conference 2010 Merit Award (Oral Presentation) recipients will be announced at the end of each day.

The Wonca World Conference 2010 Merit Award Certificates will be officially given to recipients during the Wonca World Conference 2010 Closing Ceremony.
