About the Congress
From 19th to 23 May 2010 will be held in Cancun, Mexico the 19th Wonca World Conference of Family Doctors (Wonca Cancun 2010), according to the motto "THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDGs): THE CONTRIBUTION OF FAMILY MEDICINE". The 19th Wonca World Conference of Family Doctor is the biggest and most important event of family medicine professionals in the world, attracting more than 5,000 doctors with experience in clinical affairs, administration, education, research, epidemiology and other health-related issues.
About Wonca
Wonca is an unusual, yet convenient acronym comprising the first five initials of the World Organization of National Colleges, Academies and Academic Associations of General Practitioners/Family Physicians. Official Language
The official language of the Congress is English. There will be simultaneous translation to Spanish in the main plenary sessions and some selected simultaneous sessions.
Letter of Invitation
Participants who require an invitation letter may write to the Conference Manager at registry.committee@wonca2010cancun.com. It is to be understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment of the Host Organizing Committee to provide any financial support.
Liability / Disclaimer
The Host Organizing Committee of the 19th Wonca World Conference shall not be held responsible for personal accidents, illness, losses or damage to private property or registered delegates of the 19th Wonca World Conference. Delegates are advised to arrange for their personal insurance for the duration of the conference and tours.
Whilst every attempt will be made to ensure that all aspects of the Conference mentioned in this website will take place as scheduled, the Host Organizing Committee reserves the right to make last minute changes without prior notice should the need arise.
